Acceptable use policy

Recoly records and edits your Mac's screen. Using it responsibly keeps you and the people you record safe. By using Recoly you agree not to do the following.

  • Do not use Recoly to record people, screens or content without any consent required by law or policy.
  • Do not use Recoly to bypass a corporate, school or other policy that governs the Mac or content you are recording. Get permission first.
  • Do not use Recoly to capture confidential, copyrighted or private material you have no right to record or share.
  • Do not use Recoly to record or distribute unlawful, harassing, or infringing content.
  • You are responsible for obtaining consent and following applicable law whenever you record.
  • Do not resell, crack, reverse-engineer, or redistribute Recoly or your license key.
  • Do not abuse the account or license portal, including sharing one license across more Macs than your plan allows or attempting to game activation limits.

Serious or repeated violations may result in your license being deactivated. If you are unsure whether your use is acceptable, ask us first.
